One of the many advertising networks out there is Adsterra (https://adsterra.com/ - I'm not Backlinking them!). I signed up years ago, and since the account stays open I thought I'd pop some on my new forum. The pay isn't great, but it's easy to use and very open to most websites with few checks or prerequisites. A good stop-gap I thought.

It took me days and days of confusion and investigations to discover why Google and Meta were complaining about malicious content, spam or malware when all my server-side malware scanners were reporting everything as clean.

Eventually, I found and scanned the website with Securi Sitecheck which reveals problematic code... and sure enough it was Adsterra's iframe that was causing the issues (despite other iframes being marked as safe). So yeah, don't use them. Once I removed their code from all my pages, Google, Meta, Bing, etc. all stopped flagging the forum as suspicious or malicious.
