Oh noes!

You need 20 posts to be able to download resources, post links and other things. Read more...

Do you ever find yourself posting on every other forum but yours, rather its from inactivity of your forum, or simply loosing interest? I am in that stage right now, and was wondering if anyone has been through it, and could tell me things they did to get back into their forum.
  2. i like to contribute in my forum rather than posting in other forums.

It is hard for me, My forum is slowly dying, and I have it in my head that I am going to be switching over to a new software, and pretty much starting over. So I am debating on keeping it up for the time being or closing it. It will not be updated for another month or so.
  4. you have to keep on posting some unique content in your forum and wait till it get indexed by google , so that you get new members and asking for help in your forum .

and i have some good idea to improve your forum activity.

and wat software your forum runs.

I am currently running MyBB, and it looks SO bland compared to XenForo which is what I am switching over from. My forum is a general discussion forum, so I do not know how I could put "unique content" on the site.

Guys, please keep the arguing to a minimum, and stop spamming this thread. I am handling the report, and here's what I have to say:
Here on AdminForums we have a promotion section(this forum), and that's where you should promote. However, @Siddharth Ramakrishnan isn't doing anything against the rules, technically, because no links have been posted. @Brooke Powers I thank you for reporting this, and it's nice to see members actually using the 'Report' button ;) However, like I said, there isn't really an infraction here, unless of course you count the one off topic post that spurred the posting of many. Anyways, @Siddharth Ramakrishnan , basically you are a tad out of line here. By "Self-Promoting" you don't cause that much of a problem, but then refusing to reply to the original topic like so:
Well, that's definitely not okay. We at AdminForums are just that; an Admin Forum. We support the discussion of other Admins and their forums. We aren't some promotion forum where you can just refuse to reply to the original topic because you want the OP to join your forum. Therefore, your posts in this topic could be counted as blunt and irrefutable spam. Therefore, I am going to ask that you don't go about doing this sort of thing again, otherwise I will in fact have to give you an official warning, and possibly a ban if it comes to it.

@Brooke Powers , thank you again for bringing this to my attention, but next time I suggest you either PM a member who is doing this, or just wait for a Moderator to come on. By replying to this thread you fueled a small flame war, and this topic was in turn completely de-railed.

Thanks again, and I hope I don't have to have this sort of discussion with either of you ever again ;)

I think it's really important to contribute to your forum. At least in the beginning. Later, you can just make sure everything is fine.
