It's a prime blogging software used by many, for those who use it what's your opinion of it?

Any pros/cons that come to mind when using it?

We use it as it's strong and highly customizable to fit our needs. Thousands of plugins, what more could you ask for.

Check out the plugins thoroughly before using them on a live board, my forum was hacked via a Wordpress plugin.

I think the main problem for using Wordpress with me is that I can never find a forum skin that matches the Wordpress theme that I end up choosing :X

The only thing I dislike about it is all the insecure plugins.

It's much better than blogspot, that's for sure. Some WordPress sites have REALLY good looking skins!

I love Wordpress. It has great SEO and Google seems to love wordpress websites. I have one that is at the top of Google (2nd link, right below the Wikipedia article) - it got there in just a few short months, without much work at all.

Any time I create a website, it uses Wordpress. There are just so many features and plugins, it's hard to pass up on. It's also a quick way to get a website up and running in a matter of minutes.

Wordpress by all means is simply excellent, be it for its built-in SEO, customization, theme options, and so on.

I love wordpress, it has great themes and wonderful plugins. It also (usually) has great spam and hacking protection, so you won't find many spam comments on your blog (of course, there will still be some.)

It's great as it lets you throw together a blog quickly and painless. Now with all the great plug-ins for it, you can transform your site into a forum or even an online shop!

    Care to elaborate?

I love WordPress, best standalone blogging software, hands-down.

Well all the features it provides make it easy for most people. However it's a large script and I personally find if you're literally just writing a blog then you can find some better and more lightweight options.
