Why did you choose the niche you did to open up a forum in? I made an admin forum when there were only 3 or so admin forums and one of them was completely dead, the niche leader has a really bad way of dealing with things and the other didn't feel like an admin forum. So many people seem to opening up new forums in niches just because they are "popular" these days and I am wondering, why did you pick the niche you did?
For one I absolutely love the niche I've chosen. Add in the fact that I haven't seen many other sites that are dedicated to it as well so I'm hoping to bring my site up before people think that the niche is popular.
I have forums in few niches and all were started because I thought I can bring something to the table. I want my communities to help and inspire. I got a lot of support myself from such sites, when I needed the information, so I hope to give something back to other people who want to learn from me.
I chose my niche, due to the fact I was sick to death of the follow me or die attitude that was in DID forums. A friend had approached me and asked if I could create a forum specializing on my topic.
Long long time ago, I made an admin forum and really enjoyed it a lot. I closed it because I couldn't afford to expand by getting a bigger server. Now that I can afford it and afford even more of an expansion if needed, I decided to give it a shot again. In a result, the forum blew up into a fairly active community I enjoy making forums and I enjoy discussing making them with other forum owners. The other forum niches I chose were because they are either a big hobby of mine or related to my profession or education.
It didn't take too long for me to decide on a niche myself I have alot of things that I like to talk about from WWE Wrestling to gaming and other things going on in the world so choosing a general chat forum was the best thing for me. I can have all kinds of forums spanning from lifestyle to gaming, sports and even hobbies.
I choose mine because it was something that I knew and loved. I would not have as great of a site if I did not know and love what I talk about. I could not just pick a random theme and have a site about it without knowing anything about it.
I chose mine because the club is a passion, I've been a supporter for over 40yrs, so to me it's great to be able to talk about United 24/7 if I want to.
Mine's Apprenticeships and Careers - I'm in an Apprenticeship at the moment and I just needed somewhere to offer advice to other apprentices and to talk about how my apprenticeship was going. When the forum becomes popular I know I'll start to love it even more
i just sat around all day and started collecting celeb pics and just thought i could start my own forum
I had run a gaming forum for years but none of them had been very successful except for 1. But the co-admin deleted it when he got grounded and figured he could just delete my site so I lost that. I tried to make more gaming forums but none of them worked so now I plan to open up a new forum but have it be a webmaster forum instead of a gaming forum and I hope to have more success with it.
