Why did you choose to open a forum over opening a blog? What is it about forums that make people choose to open one over anything else?

I prefer forums too but I am not sure why, is it a popularity thing?

Forums allow users to come up and share easily, where as a blog pushes every one in an isolated corner

I think that forums are better for people to use than blogs can people can talk about anything they want, where blogs are just about the blog owner.

A forum allows for a more social interaction between users. A blog you discuss one topic and there really is no consistent flow of discussion.

I pretty much would have to agree with Austin on this one. Forums do allow a lot more social interaction and it allows users to decide on the content of the website.

Hit the nail on the head there mate. I like blogs, but forum just allows for so much more open discussion.

being able to discuss things easier with other people, and also im not interesting enough to create my own blog, but i can make a forum and have other people share their ideas as well.

Forum is a community. Blog is not. At least not in that segment.

a forum generates its own content created by your users.. IMO, that's what makes a forum better than a blog..

Because I wanted to talk with people and not to or at them.
