Nightly back ups to an VPS via Rsync in a different data centre to our main server :)

Sometimes I forget but I try to backup my site every single day just incase something bad happens.

As a host we provide free backups to all customers. Daily, Weekly & Monthly, Locally on the server then copied onto a remote server located in another datacentre. These backups are retained until they are over-written and for 60 days after an account has been terminated.

We do suggest that all our customers also create their own backups. Using cPanel there is currently no way for shared accounts to automate a backup daily. We are currently looking into the possibility of creating a plugin to allow automation, therefore making it easier for everyone to create regular backups.

I would personally suggest backups should be done at minimum of once per day.

I have cron jobs set up that backup to my home ftp server every 5 minutes. :)

We perform daily, weekly and monthly backups to ensure we can restore an account at any point. If need we can also supply hourly database backups for those that require it.

Not as often as I should because my web hosting providers do this for me.

I now have mine set to backup on a regular basis atleast a few times a day so that I always have a recent backup. I did once get caught short not long after I opened my forum and we was hacked pretty badly and I hadn't made regular backup's of my forum so I ended up losing around 1000 posts which I wasn't best pleased about.

For those who wish to do back-ups automatically, you can just set the cron jobs and let the system do this for you.

I backup once a week, usually on Fridays. People tell me I should backup more often, but it seems it's working fine for me this way as well

I do not backup very often, like once every few months or so. I know, I know, i should do it more often.
  13. We run daily backups but if a client wants backups by the hour or a specific time which is done for bigger sites we can arrange that.
