What sources help you to learn and get new useful information in seo? What do you use? I talk to some of the forums, read blogs, but the information is not relevant enough, and scattered. It's not very convenient.
This field not static but constantly evolving. Perhaps, like any other fields. Every day I read the news, interviews, reviews, reports from exhibitions, etc. A lot of good resources on this topic, for example can still add bizzteams.com So you are sure to grow and succeed.
Almost everything you read will be based on prediction/experiences. If you read blogs and forums where SEO is discussed you just have to think does it sound realistic or not and if itnsounds realistic give it a try. I'm a member at Experienced-People.net (not aimed at beginners but people like @ShadyX may get something out of it) and they discuss this all the time, some of them earn a living from websites, it seems even those who've been doing it for 10+ years trip up along the way. Trying methods is the only way you'll learn.
Specifically you can consult ReadWriteWeb and the SearchEngineLand for the latest information about web and technologies. Next comes the active forums and the Google news.
There are two parts in SEO one is Onpage and Offpage. If you are doing already onpage then start with directroy submission, classified posting, forum posting, press release submission for your websites.
I have been learning SEO on my own. I have visited many forums and read many articles to help me learn all about it.
