I learned HTML first as it was essential and the easiest. Then I moved to CSS, then Javascript and php.

BASIC and FORTRAN were my first languages, and went up to php. Stopped it 2 years ago, not into coding for a while.

Like a lot of people, I started by learning the basic HTML. You need to know HTML to advance to other languages as it will help a lot.

I learned basic HTML first, but unfortunately I forgot quite a bit of it now. I am sure that I don't really remember that much, but that's ok.

I think everyone started out with HTML as it is the most commonly used one out there :)

HTML first of course just because it is something that the majority seem to learn first :p I'm moving onto CSS/PHP when I get the chance though. Busy lately!

That's the route that most take, me included. CSS has a lot of similarities, PHP looks hard though.

Agree with you there, I grasped CSS much more easier than I did HTMl but my problem is I can understand what does what and such but putting it together into a coherent design is just *insert gibberish talk*. PHP does look hard I will agree but hey, I like a challenge. xD

My first programming language I taught myself was 68k assembler. I then moved on to C#, z80 assembler, and finally C++. I know a tiny bit of CSS and HTML, but not enough to fully code a website. Maybe one day i'll teach myself more stuff. :)
