Which do you prefer websites to be, simple but stunning or complicated but creative?

I personally prefer simple, clean designs over complicated ones. The complicated ones usually have thousands of features and an eye catching design while the simple ones have everything you need and a smooth, clean design.

Well it depends how they both look. I mean I know sites that are simple, stunning but really creative with great features.

An example would be Google+ vs Facebook. Facebook is so complicated but Google+ is a lot more simple looking with a great design. They both have lots of features as well.

But I would choose simple over complicated any day.

I agree, though I don't use Google+ very much I admire its overall design and feel over Facebook. Facebook started out the right way but got more complicated and confusing as it went along which is why I shifted on to using twitter.

Simple but stunning always. Just looks better on any project and design.

Facebook is a perfect example of what is not simple and stunning.

In graphic design, simplicity is what creates the absolutely most beautiful pieces of artwork, but it is also the hardest to master. That being said, I absolutely prefer simplicity over complex, but in some cases, complex is necessary and can be pulled off quite well. But for the most part, stunning simplicity.

Simplicity. If someone's overcomplicating things it just says they're getting desperate and are trying too hard. A design isn't supposed to win people in unless you're a design company, it should be making people's experience a good one and this is done by making it easy to use and easy to look at.

    Simplicity is the best! ;)
Most of my own designs are simple and well I tend to keep the design as clean as possible, so there you go simplicity is the way to go

Personally I would prefer something simple, some styles can look overly complicated.

Simple all the way! Bring death to facebook :D

    I can do both :D

I liked more complex designs and in some cases they really look great. Still I find myself going with some more modern simple designs and it's not quite a bad idea.

Creativity & simplicity can also work well together and very much go hand in hand if deployed effectively.

That being said, Simplicity and taking time to put in as much love and care to the small things will always make the biggest difference to a design and/or website with regards to how it looks and functions. imo. :)
