I would, but I don't think it would be a good idea, due to our history and I don't own a forum.

Lucky and I opened a tech forum together and it turned out horrible. Our views and personalities were so different that it caused such a fight about the littlest of things--from the skin to the forums. Now we are not friends and have not spoken to each other after we stopped being friends.

Play, I dont mind if you are a member. If you were, that would be great to have you in the community. However, as you stated, I couldn't have you on the staff for anything higher than a global mod. Other than that, you are more than welcome to as I have no qualms about it.

Okay I may join then and I'm not looking to be staff on any forum as I dealing with some health issues and so is my mom that is why I retired from staff here at AF.

That's alright. As of now, I am covering all of the services and I am getting some posts on the board. People seem to like it and I have had people signing up all day. Feel free to join bud.

In order to constantly give you the best service that we can, we have added a service that will--I think--benefit the entire community. This service will place your ad right at the top of the forum list on the index and will stay there. This forum will be a redirect forum which means when someone clicks on the forum, it will redirect them to your website. The rates are cheap and you can even buy it for longer than a month, however, the rates will double because you have you to pay to keep that spot!

As we continue our free service month, we strive to reach for a 24 hour turn around time on all servies that we can. Which means that your service will be completed in less than a day by either a service team member or another staff member. So far, we have kept a 48 hours turn around time, but have had more 24 hour turn around times.

We have finished our final theme edits in order to make it our theme and not a generic one. The biggest change that was brought to the table was our brand new horizontal author info that was coded by Lucky personally and customized to fit into the current theme. Other edits were color changes, CSS changes and more. We hope you enjoy the new board!

[Update]

PromotionShock is doing great! We have had numerous people tell us that they love the skin and that the custom CSS looks great on the board. We are getting near 600 posts in less than a month and I just want to say thank you to the members of the community because without them, this wouldn’t be happening. I am very proud of the forum and where it has gone. Here are some of the things we think you should be aware of!

· The Free Service Month ends on the 26th of May! You can request ANY service that we have for free until that day.

· We are still finishing services within 48 hours of the service being requested

· We are adding a new program that will allow you to post classifieds on the board for anything from services to exchanges

· We now have our own TeamSpeak server where you can chat with the staff members both publicly and privately. You can also talk in the rooms that we have set up for the VIP members and the other members.

· We are in the works of adding a brand new service to the board, but that is still in development

Again, we are still doing great over at PromotionShock and we are only missing one thing; you! So why not come down to PromotionShock and register? You won’t regret it!

New Service - Rotating Banner Ad

On PromotionShock, we want to keep the forum as up to date as possible and to do that, we are offering a new service! What this service does is place one of your advertisements along with five other ones and will cycle through them. Being that this is ran by the wonderful jQuery script, we can add as many images as we want. However, for the time being, we will only have six on the slider. We feel that this service is one that will benefit the community because of the simplicity of it. All you have to do is request, wait, and boom, there is your advertisement. Simple as 1,2,3. So, feel free to request this service!


SquareShock

With square shock, you can have your image placed with 3 other images on our sidebar so that the members and guest can see them. More information can be found by reading the link that is in the links part.

Some Changes


Also, we have changed the forums up a little. Here are some of the changes:

• Merged "Webmaster Life" into the Lounge and change the name of "The Lounge" into "All of the Extras."
• Moved some of the services into the new forum "Extra Promotion"
• Merged deeper into the "Webmaster Life" and moved some of the forums into "General Discussion"

PromotionShock is Hiring!

With the forum taking off so well, I am in need of some extra help! I am looking for 2 or 3 more staff to be on every day and help out with services. Here is what I need.

2 Packagers

As a packager, you will be in charge of taking care of packages that are requested on the board. You will have moderating powers in the package forum. Here is the requirements to be on the package team:

• At least 15 years old and have been on a forum before
• Be able to be on at least once a day to post and look for new packages that need to be tagged
• Be able to be in staff discussions
• Be willing to do more if asked by a team lead or administrator

2 Reviewers

As a reviewer, you will be responsible for completing reviews as they come into the forums by our members. You will also be held for making sure that the requests are being followed by the service rules. You will have moderating authority in the review forum. Here are more guidelines for this position:

• At least 16 years old and have been on a forum before
• Be able to be on at least once a day to post and look for new packages that need to be tagged
• Be able to be in staff discussions
• Be willing to do more if asked by a team lead or administrator

1 Community Team Member

As a CT member, you will have the duties of making sure the forums are clean of any unwanted content and to make sure the members are obeying by the forum rules. Here are the guidelines for the CT membership:

• At least 16 years old and have been on a forum before
• Be able to be on at least once a day to post and look for new packages that need to be tagged
• Be able to be in staff discussions
• Be willing to do more if asked by a team lead or administrator

Ever so often, I like to keep the members informed of what is happening around the board and what is happening behind the scenes. So, here is an update for you guys.

Service Guarantee

Here on PromotionShock, we want to provide the best service that we can give to our members who request one of our services. To keep that running throughout the forums, we are now implementing a guarantee to our services. The service guarantee will protect against services that don't get tagged within a certain time, services that do not get added or completed within a certain time frame and lastly, any service that has been completed in a way where the member is not happy with the product they were given. Here are the official guidelines in order to be protected by the service guarantee:

• A package that has not been tagged within 48 hours of the package being requested
• A package that--once tagged--has not been completed within 48 hours after the time of being tagged.
• A review that has been tagged within 48 hours of the review being requested
• A review that--once tagged--has not been completed within 48 hours after the time of being tagged
• After a service has been completed, and you--the member--are not fully satisfied with the service, PM lucky and explain why. Most of the time*, your Shockbucks will be refunded and your service will be ordered to be re-done by an administrator.

We hope that this guarantee will protect our members and offer the best service that we can to our community. We are the only ones to offer such a guarantee and we will live by this because we want to be the best that we can!

To reward our current members and of course our future members, we are offering a free contest where we will be giving away a FREE copy of Adobe Photoshop Elements 8. To those of you who would like to start graphic design or wish to obtain this software, we will be giving you that chance. I am here with an explosive update that I am excited to tell you!

1,000 Posts

While this may not be the biggest update ever, but it is really nice to see that the forum has reached that in little than a month and half almost. We have some really great members and I am so thankful for that! Just for being so awesome, I am giving them some free shockbucks! Wait! I will be giving them and all new members free 100SB to say thank you! It isn't a daily thing that you get some really cool members like we have.

Almost the end of free Services
That's right guys! It is almost the end of FSM where until the end of May, ALL services will be free, just because we love you. This includes packages, reviews, and the other services that we have to offer. So, jump on those services! If you want a free service and you are not a member, why not join and take us for a test drive?


New Forums

In order to keep the discussions coming in, I have added some more forums to the board. One of them is a contest forum where all of the hosted contest are. You can find guess the image, and other periodic contest. You can also find our auctions where we will auction off our services just for you! We will also be auctioning off other things too! We have also added a debate forum that you might like to visit. It is located under General Discussion.
