A friend of mine who owns a Xenforo forum complained to me that it's very hard to edit a Xenforo template. And, that puts me off the idea of using Xenforo as modifying a template might be necessary. Have you ever tried modifying or editing a Xenforo template? And, if so was it easy or difficult?
It's extremely easy. The good thing is once you edit it, the template name is turned red, so you can see which templates have edits. Personally though, I would suggest TMS. That way, when you upgrade XenForo, all your edits are saved, and can quickly be re-applied.
When I first started using Xenforo it did take me a little while to get used to editing templates because of the new layout and way things worked but once I got the hang of it I was doing it in no time without any problems. It is alot easier than vBulletin I feel when it comes to editing and in my opinion one of the easiest to work with once used to it.
I find it very easy to use, I mean, I have made countless XenForo themes over these last couple of years for myself and clients. I find it easier than every forum software I have ever tried.
I like MyBB more, that for me is way better, since the CSS can be tweaked in one go and not open countles pages to edit this and that, but XF is OK. I've been successful with theme designs with it and my clients were very pleased.
Well i don't know about myself, because i don't do it, My friend does it for me, i am more in freelancing, only started learning these things.
I do think it's so much easier to edit a xenforo template. I see it turns red and it shows you that. I also use TMS
