How often do you change things on your forum or add new features? A new feature every now and then is nice, but adding too many mods to your forum will ruin it imo.
To begin with I added to many things and changed almost everyday. I was new and was just learning. Now though I know its not fair to do that.
I change/add things as I go along. Big features are held off, I would add them all at once and make an thread about it telling everyone, you wouldn't see me doing that more than once every two months but every few days the theme will get better as I go along I will add new things to it or improve on the existing version. The theme now is AdminForums v2 but with all the editing I have done as I have gone along it should be V2.9.7
If it is a rather large change, I would wait a while before doing any other updates. If it's a small update, then every few months would be a nice pattern. I would not recommend doing updates at a constant pace as it get's rather annoying and does not give anyone a chance to enjoy the updates.
im changing things ,updating when i feel its getting bored and a change should be made. And always if you do slowly updates in features it attracts users more who already registered^^
I change things as needed, it's not necessary to make changes for the sake of change, as then you have nothing to do when you get into a slump and need something to bring up your activity.
Usually I add a new feature when I feel one is needed and I will change things when I feel they are needed. We have just recently made alot of big changes that we feel where needed to help speed the site up and also to clean things up a little. I do feel that now after we have done this I probably will not want to change much of anything for a while as things as they are now are pretty great
It depends. Occasional change is necessary, but changing to much in a short time span can be counter-productive. People are easily used on a certain thing and if you change too much they can feel slight discomfort, and maybe even leave the forum.
