Hi Just out of interest, how many of you run on mybb? some people compare mybb to vbulletin, although vbulletin is a paid software and just has that little edge. I love mybb it has everything a mybb forum owner would ever need and its very easy to install mods etc.
I don't run a MyBB forum anymore but I use too, I would say personally MyBB is better than vB. MyBB has tons of amazing themes and mods to use.
Yes. I also think it is. But I only said about vB due to in the first post it said about people comparing it to vB.
VBulletin has the edge over it? Hmm I've always thought myBB is better than VB because it's much easier to use and has much nicer themes.
I have a new project that is using MyBB, I find the theming side of things a lot better than PhpBB thats for sure.
I have not used the IPB theming system since BETA, when I sold my 2 licenses. I couldn't comment on that but MyBB is a lot harder than XenForo. Though it didn't take much getting used to since it's just the same CSS skills / different script.
Currently I am using MyBB, but I will move my forum to Xenforo soon. As a free script, MyBB is the best IMO.
5-6 years ago I used to run 8 or more sites on MyBB. Had some VBs, but really liked how MyBB worked. Then I started seeing its shortcomings and decided to migrate my sites on paid scripts. I now run few VB sites and 2 on Xenforo.
I'm using MyBB and plan on sticking with it. I've owned several paid scripts, and while they're great, MyBB has enough features and plugins to keep me satisfied.
