Well we have a few threads here that ask how you keep paying for your website and the most generic answer is that in the long run ads and such pays for the websites upkeep.

So how did you get the money to start your website?

    Income taxes! :)

I maybe different then many of you, maybe not. I pay for my webhosting and domain hosting every year that runs to about 285.00 a year. Then if I see a site add on, that I would just buy instead of creating I will buy that. They can run anywhere from 12.00 to 250.00 each.

I started from zero online, so anything new had to be paid from my own 'pocket'. Once I started earning some money online, I was able to use it to fund my online ventures.

I made money doing various things, posting etc; and bought a domain cheap on digitalpoint, then I started learning how to style forums and it all started there. From that point I could buy licenses for paid software and fund reliable hosting from work I did online.

I got the money for my website, which I haven't used yet, from posting on forums.
