Oh noes!

You need 20 posts to be able to download resources, post links and other things. Read more...

Obviously, some of you are wondering why your forum doesn't get heaps of posts and members so quickly, I've even seen people say why do you have so many members! The problem is FORUMS DONT BECOME A SUCCESS OVER NIGHT! Forums time time and dedication to get them anywhere. It takes a lot of patience and a bit of creativity for all the new threads and posts to keep them unique. People who have forums which could be said are a success will 9 times out of 10 say it took a lot of work, because it does! It can take a forum weeks to months to even get anywhere. Nothing becomes amazing after a day or two, otherwise forum owning would be too easy. To be honest, we should start chanting forums don't work and are failures and then people might care about every single member and post instead if waiting for 10,000 posts to happen in a week when their forum has just opened.

The best thing to do is to just keep going, even if no one logs in, just keep trying because it will pay off! :)

I hope this is the right place xD

Well most forums you see nowadays usually merge databases or pay for posts. Though if you see a new forum with 10,000 posts rights away, they mostly likely merged an old database. I use to do this with a lot of my old forums, but recently decided to start fresh and see how it goes from there.

A better idea than any; forums content should be original ;)
Fantastic guide there mate, 100% agree ;)

Some forums probably do. ;) But you do make a good point, it requires patience and an awful lot of perseverance and effort.

To be honest, I don't even know how to merge databases so I never did it before. It seems like an okay idea but I have some concerns about it. I agree that forums don't become a success overnight. It takes a lot of work and dedication.

CONSISTENCY is the key here. You need to constantly post articles and useful threads, you need to battle for new visitors and try make them members, you need to do this today, tomorrow and for YEARS to come. You're never sure about a community's success, you're never done as an admin. So it's a lot of work, but the truth is, having a nice active community will surely make it worth the hassle ;)

My forum took over months, for building up reputation, it took over 10 of nights, to become a successful one :p

its like money ,if you want instant money go work in real life, but if you want fast money from a website its not a fast way its long term.So be patient focus and just relax and you will make it ,put a goal and reach it.
  10. Of course they aren't. You need to have patience, lots of time and motivation. Unless you have those three you won't see any results any soon.

you need time, ay you can pay for posts and seo......... but you must a real strategie about what you want and how could you do it right.
if you just pay hither and thither you will lose your money and your dream will be a nightmare

Well of course not! Who thinks otherwise is in a big denial. :/ I think the problem is most of the people that think like that are kids and they think they will get mega popular website over night. :/
