I got dosed once. The guy was bribing me for cpanel access. I didn't give in and sooner or later he just quit.
Who is your guys' host? If you've had nonstop attacks since April, then perhaps that's a sign that you need to move hosts ASAP. I would, if I kept getting attacked so much like that. Not all hosts have the world greatest servers, so maybe you want to find a host that has decent security measures in place and stuff like that.

I wouldn't think a vps would change anything @Spudster , I would look at getting a flood wall of some sort and maybe try Cloudflare Though they are only good against smallish attacks.
No, never. However, I've been on the same shared server with someone who was being DDOS'd. Effectively, every site was being DDOS'd in that sense because the server loading was very slow.
D DDOS dont last long they only take a site down for a short amount of time a week at the most aslong as you mingrate the attack somewhere else
Have helped a lot of clients who have come under dDoS attacks and they are for sure annoying to have to deal with. But depending on the size we have helped mitigate the attacks.
It's funny. I've pissed enough people off in my lifetime to have it done but nope never had it done. And don't just go and do it to shut me up. xD
Well my website hasnt been DDoS'd but the server which my website is hosted has been DDoS'd once well like an year ago Since then no downtime at all
