Which is more important content or design

i personally feel a good mixture of both is necessary for all forums :)
  2. IATQOR Yes.

A mixture of both would make the ideal forum :)

Both, if you don't have any content then it's pointless having a good design.
  4. ShadyX Who else?

    Both are needed.

If your forum has loads of content but is really bad design wise then no-one is going to want to stay on your forum for long and if your have a really attractive design but no content then what will there be to read? people will just click away from your site.

Definitely both - a bit like a good partner, it might be looks that attract you in the first place, but if there's no-one home then chances are it won't last long.

Thats a great way to put it :)

I think both. Whilst good content is important, nobody wants a style that's going to make their head spin.

One doesn't go without the other.
I really can't make a choice in this case. I would have to choose BOTH.

I would choose content because people go to a site to view the content not the theme the theme makes the site good to look at don't get me wrong, But without content there is no site **site = lie** But there is a but there is a option for a mixture of both and that would be the right answer :ROFLMAO:

They complement each other. Good forum design without content wouldn't work that well and vice-versa.
I think design is for attraction and content is for keeping members.
