Choosing a name for your site can be hard, with the limit of domains avaliable now, but here's some ideas to make sure you don't waste $10 buying one! Make sure it does have at least something to do with the topic. Say you owned a Hannah Montana fan club site but your domain was weloveharrypotter.com it doesn't really have anything to do with the subject leading to people forgetting the domain or people confused about the actual subject. Don't use the first idea which comes to your head, there's more to come if you're creative and you may regret using your first idea without thinking of others. Try think creative for example: http://www.adminboard.com isn't as creative as http://www.adminhut.com because hut is something unique to the forum, the hut. Catchy domain names help. Short domain names are generally easier to rememeber. Domains with unusual things in them eg - aren't generally as good as people may forget to add the - Good luck!
Very true Something creative, but not longwinded You want your site to stand out when put up against other sitess of its kind ^^ Cafe Otaku vs AniChanted (Ani=short of the word Anime combined with chanted is a playoff of the word Enchanted) Which stands out to you more?
I also recommend using name suggestion services. One in particular I like to use is www.nametumbler.com
I only think about something simple, just a word related to the niche and used a lot buy people, it could not be a keyword, but just a word we use the most.
Thank you for this tips. I agree with the most part. I also believe that the name of the domain might be key.
