What is your opinion on this topic. From what I read before, 90% (maybe higher or lower now) of the bitcoin cryptocurrency is in circulation & mined. Is it due to people not thinking it’s worth much anymore with other types out there? Would the rest be mined?

No, it's due to the fact that there is a fundamental limit of how much bitcoin *can* be mined, period. And it was *designed* that way. Fixed upper supply is always good fun in economic terms...

I have never been one of those interested in Bitcoin mining. If not for anything else, I don't have a better means to mine it. You can't mine Bitcoin successfully with your smartphone. You need a better powerful set up to mine it. I'm not at that level now.
