Oh noes!

True, but you've got to consider there's a ton more forums in the admin category than there are for discussing all aspects of the letter E, you know?
  2. It's a kid's world...forums for things like religion and politics are a waste of time promoting on this board, Admin Peak or Forum Promotion.
  3. Darthmaul Uncle Darth

This sort of thing happens every year. A few years ago it was promotion forums, then ptp forums, then hosts or something like that(can't remember), and now it's Admin Forums.

I personally agree with the OP on this: the niche is way too saturated. Not trying to be vain, but I think the Admin Forums that have gotten their success so far have gotten it right(this forum included); no reason to re-invent the wheel. Not trying to say that people shouldn't start new Admin Forums, or any forums for that matter, but they're just re-inventing the wheel(i.e.: doing the same things). They always say: "We're different!", but the truth is, they're not, and the niche is suffering because of it.

You know what, I am happy they do it. Some of them will fail, some will remain, very few will be a success in few years. It's a learning experience and it's good. I've started forums in various niches, worked them nicely or fell straight into my nose. I was able to learn a lot from all this.

So yes, there are MANY new admin forums. Let them be. The best will be around in 6 months, most will disappear. Few of them might succeed. :)

I can agree with this and most of them probably dont even have a passion in the webmaster niche so why do it?

I Created AdminTalk not because i though *AdminForums is a success i might try it* NO, I did it because i love Programming,Coding and making sites, this includes managing forums.

People should only start something if they like doing otherwise it wont work out as they must of learnt.

And AdminTalk will be offering something unique after the first month after our relaunch.

PS: I want cheese now after you saying cheesing me off ;)
  8. Any niche is tough.....

Any niche is tough, its the work you put into it.

Not at all, If you know what you are doing most niche's are easy. I have seen a game specific forum hit 1,000,000 posts within a month of opening with 200 users online at any one time. They were running the default theme with minor edits and they had nothing unique, yet, as their audience was terrifyingly huge and had little to no competition they quickly became a monster of a forum.
  11. Yeah right.....how about trying a religious forum or maybe a alien and ufo forum? These are tough because 99.9% of users are kids who are not interested in this stuff. A promotion forum dealing strictly with serious forums such as these would be nice because then your not dealing with all this gaming and general forum crap that has taken over the forum world.

Woahh i can believe you, i have seen a huge black hat forum using the defualt theme when i when i vewed it they had over 5000 active users on daily which suprised me.

PS: What software was this gaming forum using? it depends on the defualt theme some are good others are not like the mybb defualt.
  13. ShadyX Who else?

Not really, you need to find a better place to promote those types of forums. Most people on promotion type forums are kids, everyone knows that. Try joining forums in the same niche, becoming an active and well known member and you will get members that way by having your forums link/banner in your sig.

Also, Forum Promotion is not the be all or end all. What did people do to make successful forums before forum promotion was around? They relied on search engine marketing, which is what people should be doing from the start rather than relying on promotion forums for all of their traffic.

If you don't have tons of money to put into advertising then yeah I will admit, it is going to take some time to get to a comfortable level of activity. BUT being impatient is the main cause of many forums failure, they quit without giving it time to flourish.

It was a xenforo forum :)

Im currently 16 what age rate do you class as a kid, im almost 18.

And i agree Promotion forums are basically only going to give you a small boost of helping your forum is starting out, Search Engine Optimization (SEO) will help any forum and the content that it offers, once i get back into managing admintalk (PC issues at the moment) our main focus will be to advertise using SEO,Some promotion forums and gaining a good page rank this would be a good start.

Promotion forums are ok but will not help your forum 100% its like you can eat a sausage but you carnt get the full taste without the bun/bread.

I've only just turned 15. :p I don't have an age which you turn out of a kid, it's about maturity.

    I agree :)

Once you turn 14 since your in beetween its all about maturity and how you act.
  18. ZINC Active Member

There's some 20+ year olds who go out and get on "the piss" and totally forget where they are and some actually almost die nightly because of drinking too much. This shows age has nothing to do with anything and shows that persons maturity level is quite low where for example me, I plan on never drinking alcohol or making a complete dick out of my self which wrecks my future career. Then you reach people online who are quite immature who can't be bothered to learn proper English and troll around the well being a pain in the butt. You can never win.
