If a website has an app which you can use to browse it EG) Facebook, twitter etc will you go to their website or use the application you can download off of the app store. This is for when on mobile/iPad/tablet devices. Note: results go towards a study at Geeks Hut! Please vote in the poll.
It's tough to judge as I use both about the same time throughout the day. If this includes desktop applications as well, I have to say I use the applications more.
Hmmm... Thats a tough one, I'll have to go with websites. Because websites have way more technology included such as coding, Programming and designing, yes applications have the same but website creations are more complicated and work effort.
I always use an app, because it usually has some nice features implemented, and i think apps use less bandwidth...
I like both. Both are reliable and convenient. But APPS work fast so i am with APP but i also use website so i am totally confuse but my VOTE is with APPS.
If the application is well coded and responsive, I'll use it. I'm hardly ever on Twitter on my computer, except for when I'm managing my forum's account. I just find it a lot handier to have a stripped down version to use of anything. If an application is slow or glitchy though, I might consider not even using that company's/site's website anymore.
I prefer apps normally, but in the case of apps like wp7 twitter, the app isnt as extensive as it should be IMO, so I use the site
Browsing on a mobile, I will use the app if I use that website heavily. If I don't visit that website much on my mobile I don't really see a point in downloading an app and cluttering up my phone. I would just use safari.
I prefer using the website because it is more efficient to me and I don't have to deal with the application shutting down or having any major issues. With the website I can just use another browser if it is needed.
I'd go with websites, that way I can get to all of them on the same application, safari. Though applications are pretty useful too, because it's easier to navigate and better functionality.
For me right now websites. I have a crap phone so I am more likely to have luck with the website itself.
It kind of depends for me. If it's a site that I use frequently or want to be regularly updated about (like Facebook), then I prefer using an app. If it's just an occasional site that I don't want to get annoyed with by having to use an app, then I'll just use the website instead.
No matter what I will always end up using the actual website. I do love to use website apps but I only use them when I'm in bed or on the go and don't have access to a secure computer.
I prefer it when a website has an app. It makes it more convenient because then the forums features are made specifically to fit the screen. Most mobile websites don't fit the screen or work as well as an app does.
