Do any of you encounter those annoying hosts that promise to have "99.99% uptime" and when you get there, you have like 20% uptime? Hosts really need to stop lying to get customers.
I have seen this a lot too thats why you have to check out what people really think about the host first
Yes, I hate hosts that promise backups when in reality they don't offer backups. I've previously experienced this with VPS Latch after a shocking discovery by HostDime when they took over the company back in April last year. You can read about that here: http://www.vpslatch.net/forum/threads/is-what-hostdime-is-trying-to-tell-me-true.120/ that has since been resolved. You really need to do your research on hosts and look for honest 3-6+ month reviews as the shorter reviews, are usually no good since some hosts have a habbit of providing you with a decent service up until the money back guarantee or first month billing, and then the standards slip so you can't get your money back
there are good hosting companies and the bad ones. like somebody said; we need to read, research about the service we're going to join or purchase.
Normally this happens with the newer hosts that are iffy if they will shutdown and leave randomly one day. But I have had this issue before and most established hosts have a refund depending on the situation which you should also research and utilize when possible. I would check reviews on WebHostingTalk as they have a solid amount of reviews that reveal things about the host.
Most of the Hosting Companies claims that and some are true and some are just claiming this to attract clients. But, you can use Google to find reviews or uptime for that particular hosting company
