We will achieve a new milestone on the forum and i am thinking about to make something special for our members, so i need some ideas.
You should put a link for people that are dumb like me >.< and didn't notice your profile block, etc etc XDD What type of milestone is it exactly? Maybe you guys could have a special contest. Or maybe some give-aways if they get like..questions right in a quiz of such. Maybe a forum quiz of your forum x3;
I'd say a good contest ought to cheer them up. It is something special, so it is best they all participate. My idea would be to create three teams (more or less depending the activity level) and put them to compete in small tasks in order to accumulate points. Ideas for contests: * Use the censor to create some smilie or smilies. * Use the censor to replace a word (or a bunch of words) for something completely different. * Edit some posts and add certain image (ie. a small ribbon) and then have to PM you the links. The team with more finds wins. * Create a quizz about your board, include questions they'll know by having been part of it, for example past layouts colours, what user did X thing memorable and stuff. In the end you could have a special signature gift or some filed field, to the person/team that got the most points. Define the prices before, to make them feel interested. I say medal, points, maybe a special color for their usernames... I dunno. Well, those were my cents, I hope they help sparks some ideas. X3 Good luck with it!
well a good idea would be to host some sort of contest, and the winner could get some posts on their forum if they have one, or maybe a nice signature customized for them.

Yeah contests are a good way, especially if you can afford some sort of cheap, real prize, it can make people feel more attached to the forum than they necessarily would be before.
